An update from our new principal

Dear Community Members,It is an absolute pleasure, honour and privilege to have been selected by the Village School Board to be the next Principal of the School.As you are aware, I am currently working one day a week with Tanya, and the staff, to develop my knowledge and understandings of the school. This is proving to be a valuable transition.Being community-minded myself it is important for me to gain a thorough understanding of this great community and in the shortest amount of time.This will give me a valuable insight of how Tanya and the staff work with the wider school community. I certainly want to maintain, grow and further develop the 'heartbeat' of the school.I had the pleasure in meeting many students, and parents, this morning during drop off and temperature checking. Everyone was so welcoming, thank you!During the day, I visited classrooms and was pleased to see the authentic engagement between students and teachers.This is certainly a wonderful aspect of the school that I noticed during a visit a few weeks ago.I am looking forward in getting to know you and supporting the school community as we enter a new phase of development and growth in the coming years.Like Tanya, I run an open-door policy. When the COVID regulations allow please feel free to pop into the office and introduce yourself.Generally, I will be at school on Wednesdays.
